Sensory Play

Sensory Play are activities that stimulates all our senses; sight, hearing, smell, touch and taste. Sensory Play assists students with interacting with and making sense of the world that surrounds them.

Motor Skills

Motors Skills involve specific movements of body muscles to perform certain activities/tasks. Namely, walking, running, sitting, writing, etc. Working on a child’s motor skills assists with balance, hand co-ordination, writing skills and/or body movements.

Communication Skills

Communication skills assist children to connect with those around them. These could also include non-verbal gestures, expression, as well as talking, dancing and singing. It is important to develop communication skills, because it makes it easier for a child to communicate/gesture their needs, and socialize, building meaningful relationships and problem solving.

Writing Skills

Early writing skills develop as children begin to develop hand co-ordination and understand that writing is a form of communication. Encouraging children to write, creates the ability for them to spell easily, allowing them to develop reading skills. Writing skills enhances a child’s ability to put forward their thoughts and boosts their confidence.
